Friday, May 30, 2008 - LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Enjoy your summer.
- Prior to going to the Bookstore today, please be sure to have completed
your book form. You will not be allowed into the Bookstore if your form is
not complete. See your Theology teacher if you do not have a form.
- There is still time to sign up for the Althoff float that will ride in
tonight's Shriner's Parade in downtown Belleville. Please see the Development
Office for more information.
- For all boys interested in playing Soccer next year, please attend a
short mandatory meeting after school today in the Guidance Conference Room
regarding summer training.
- Yearbook Staff: There will be staff in tomorrow Saturday, May 31 @ 9:00
a.m. to work on the yearbook. Please join us if you can.
- Please make sure you turn in your signed course request to the Main Office
as soon as possible.
- On Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the Cheerleaders
will be sponsoring a car wash at Collision Plus on Fullerton Road in Swansea.
Please come out to support the Althoff Catholic Cheerleaders.

at North Central College.

- Congratulations! The Girls Soccer Team won the Super Sectional game last
night beating Glenwood Chatham 2-0. The girls will play in the first round
of the State Tournament on Friday, May 30 @ 1:00 p.m. at North Central College
in Naperville.
- Girls Varsity Soccer Players: Please meet at the Sportsplex today @ 4:00
p.m.
- Students have been asked to have their Course Request Form signed and
returned to the box on the counter in the Main Office. Any changes in requests
should be noted on the form. Any student that needs another copy of their
form needs to see Ms. Gansmann or if any student is not sure if he or she
returned the form see Ms. Gansmann.
- All Boys Volleyball players, please return your uniforms to Mrs. Wuller
in the College Placement Office. You will not be allowed to take your exams
until your uniform is returned.
- Summer Volunteer Opportunities: Anyone who would like to help at Career

- The CAAD Club will meet Friday, May 23 promptly @ 7:45 a.m. to vote for

- Just a reminder that today the Class of 2009 and the Class of 2011 vote
on their Student Council reps for the next school year. Get your ballot in
the Bookstore during your lunch hour. The Class of 2010 will vote on Thursday,
May 22. All results will be announced on Friday, May 23.

- Congratulations! We are very proud of artists Whitney B. and Felicia
G., both of whom won awards at Art on the Square this weekend.
- Congratulations! Carly T. was asked to tryout for the USA Volleyball
Youth National Team this past weekend. She was one of 12 volleyball players
in the country to make the team. She will be representing the United States
this July in Puerto Rico. Good luck!
- Please be reminded that tuition must be paid in full for students to
take their final exams. Payments can not be personal checks.

- Congratulations! Maggie C. competed in the Junior Olympic National Gymnastics
Competition this past weekend. She placed third on balance beam and eighth
place All-Around. Her National Team placed first overall. Great job, Maggie!

received the Silver Award at this past weekend's Show Case of Excellence at

in Fairview Heights against the Edwardsville Tigers.

- Congratulations! The Boys Swim Team had a great season. On Saturday,
February 16, Sectionals were held. Everyone swam their best times, some by
as much as cutting off ten seconds. Their sportsmanship in the pool and at
the meet was great. Thank you for representing Althoff Catholic proudly. Your
hard work and dedication paid off in your performance.
- Thanks again to all teachers, faculty, and staff who helped make this
year's Althoff Catholic Calendar Campaign a great success. We greatly appreciate
your support and enthusiasm. The calendar drive Taco Bell lunch will be served
next Wednesday, February 27 during all lunch periods. Students who earned
a lunch will receive a lunch pass in their first hour class next week. All
winners will be posted throughtout the school later this week. If you have
any questions, please visit our Development Office.
- There will be practice and a pizza party for the Scholar Bowl Team on

- There will be a prom dress auctioned off at this year's Althoff Crusader

- Attention Sophomores & Juniors: The SWIC College Fair will be held
this Sunday, February 24 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. It is time to begin your research
to find the college that is best for you. Parents are also welcome.
- JV Poms practice for today has been cancelled. You will have practice
on Friday, February 22 from 3:30 - 4:30. If you have any questions, please
see Ms. Gansmann.
- Any student still wanting to sign up to donate blood must do that today.
The signup sheet is on the counter in the Bookstore. If you are signed up
to donate and are just 16, don't forget you need to turn in the Donor Permission
Form before Thursday, February 21, or bring it with you on Thursday. Student
Council members: the work schedule will be available on Wednesday.
- Any Junior or Senior that would like to tutor math frm 3:15 p.m. until
4:00 p.m. at Queen of Peace on Thursay, please sign up with Mrs. Schaefer
in the College Placement Office.
- There will be a Rotary Club meeting on Thursday, February 21 @ 7:48 a.m.
in the cafeteria. Please attend if you are interested in joining the club.
- The CAAD Club will meet Wednesday, February 20 @ 8:45 a.m. in Mrs. Black's
room (107). The CAAD Club is sponsoring an Ice Skating Night this Friday,
February 22 at the Fairview Ice Rink. Open skate is 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. Afterwards
we will go to the St. Louis Bread Co. We need 20 to sign up to get a discount.

- Congratulations! the Althoff Varsity Hockey Team began it's run to repeat
as 2A Champions by defeating Belleville West in quarterfinal action 6 to 1.
Goals were scored by Conner C., Robert H., Jordan D. (2), and Josh H. (2).
- The Freshman Boys Basketball Team bus leaves today @ 4:35 p.m.
- There is a mandatory meeting tomorrow Thursday, February 14 immediately
after school in the cafeteria for anyone interested in trying out for Baseball.
- Just a reminder - St. Teresa will be visitng Althoff tomorrow.
