Generally poor form although this specimen is full and lovely.  Has multiple trunks.   


Leaf Description


  • Leaf Texture is smooth on top, pubescent below
  • Leaf Arrangement is opposite
  • Leaf Margin is coarsely serrated or somewhat lobed
  • Leaf Venation is pinnate
  • Leaf Division is pinnately compound, 3 to 5 leaflets
  • Leaf Attachment is Petiolate

Bark 

Bark Description
       
The bark is thin and gray to brown.  It has interwoven ridges.

Twigs are purplish-green.  They are slender or moderately stout.
