Tree Description


Has a definite pyramid shape and the middle branches grow at right angles to the trunk.  The trunk is long and slender.

  • Leaf Arrangement is alternate
  • Leaf Shape is oval outline with 5 to 9 lobes that are bristle-tipped
  • Leaf Venation is pinnate
  • Leaf Division is simple
  • Leaf Attachment is Petiolate
  • Leaf sinuses extend nearly to midrib

Bark 

Bark Description
       
The bark is gray/brown in color.  It is very tight and thin.  As it ages, it develops ridges and furrows.


Twig and Bud Description

                
Twigs are slender in shape with a red/brown color.  The twigs are lustrous.
