Recycling

     The Science Club currently offers paper recycling through Abitibi. We are now starting a plastic and cardboard recycling campaign in addition to paper. Near the paper recycling bins, which are facing Frank Scott Parkway, we have placed additional bins for plastics and cardboard. All types of plastics are accepted, including, but not limited to: soda bottles, milk jugs, pill bottles, and plastic containers.

     The recycling is through Phoenix Recycling & Shredding in Belleville. They will come once or twice a week and pick up the plastic and cardboard. Because of gasoline prices lately, they charge $20.00 a month for pickup. The Science Club receives about $80.00 a month from paper recycling and will gladly use this money to pay for the pick-up every month.
