English

The English Department considers the first two years a core curriculum for all students.  The core curriculum includes the basics in writing, grammar, and literature.  After the first two years of English are completed, each student takes elective courses.  Student enrollment in these elective courses is subject to a combination of teacher recommendation and student choice.

  • Students should demonstrate through writing and literature, an understanding of critical thinking skills.
  • Students should be able to research, compose, and edit their written work using the technology available to them.
