has immensely enjoyed himself in the classroom having taught Social Studies,
Physical Education, and Health since coming to Althoff Catholic in the fall
of 1973. He has handled a variety of coaching duties being involved in golf,
baseball, basketball, and softball. He is most proud of his wife, Pat, his
son Curt, and daughter Jill. His greatest joy was coaching Althoff Catholic
to a state baseball championship in 1991. He was also chosen the Illinois
Baseball Coaches Association 1991 Coach of the Year.

Education: BS in Education from Southeast Missouri University
Extracurricular activities involved in: Football coach
Something fun about yourself: Coach Schott taught for 47 years,
including one year in Missouri.
He is most proud of his 48-year marriage, two sons, and 6.5 grandchildren. He
also is proud of his three State Championships in football. He belongs to the
Illinois Football Coaches Association and the St. Louis Metropolitan Football
Coaches Association. He has received the John E. Wray Award (St. Louis Baseball
Writers – contribution to athletics outside baseball), been voted St. Louis
Metropolitan Area Football Coach of the Year in 1980 and 1990, and has been
inducted into the Football Hall of Fame, State of Illinois.
