We are a high school of the Catholic Diocese of Belleville in Illinois.
At Althoff Catholic High School, all decisions and pursuits are ultimately guided by our identity as a Catholic school, a community of God's people.
Students, teachers and visitors of all faiths and backgrounds are always welcome. Each person's religious beliefs and heritage are respected here.
However, as a Catholic institution, every student and faculty participates in the life and education of the Catholic faith. Also, a variety of events and special programs are available for students and faculty who feel called to greater action in their faith life.
Core Programs:
- Mass once a month for the entire school
- Morning Prayer everyday
- Penance Service twice a year for the entire school
- Catholic Theology four year course
- Single-day Retreat every year for Freshmen and Sophmores
- Overnight Retreat every year for Juniors
- Service Learning Project every year for Seniors
- Holy Days & Church Seasons are observed school-wide
