2007-2008
Moderators: Veronique Orlet & Rusty Parker
This year's Scholar Bowl team has high hopes for this upcoming season, already compiling a record of two wins and two losses. Coaches Mrs. Orlet and Mr. Parker have set lofty expectations for a team that took 5th place at a tournament in O'Fallon. Led by senior captain Ashley D. and supported by a promising class of freshmen, the Crusaders hope to capture a third consecutive regional title. The team will have its hands full with a tough schedule that will take them all over the area and to several tournaments. Senior Brett S. said of the team, "I figured this year would be a rebuilding period, after losing so many strong seniors. But we're starting to gel as a team, and I think we could surprise some of the bigger schools in our conference." Only time will tell how good these competitors of knowledge will be, but the Althoff Catholic Scholar Bowl's future certainly looks bright.
