Practice
IDTA Pom Contest held at Althoff Catholic - 2008
The squad practices prior to going to camp. During the school year practice is held early in the evening. Once school is out for the summer, practice is held early in the morning. The schedule will be provided shortly after the squad has been determined. The squad does NOT practice after camp until early August, so the team has off the remainder of June and July.
Once school starts, the team practices each day after school. The season runs from August until mid-March. Practice time is usually from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
During the months of December, January, February, and March the team competes at IDTA Contests. (Illinois Dance Team Association) Althoff Catholic hosts an IDTA Contest in January.
Tryouts

Tryouts for the Varsity Pom Pon Squad are held in the beginning of May.
This tryout is for the Varsity Squad, however, anyone interested in trying out for the JV Team in the fall is advised to go through this tryout. It will give you a chance to see the type of skills needed and meet people. A tryout for a JV Team is held in mid to late October.

Congratulations! The Dance Team had first place wins in Pom, Kick, and Pom Dance on January 23, 2010 at the Althoff Catholic IDTA Contest. The team also qualified their three rountines for the IDTA State Contest.
