Performance Arts Club

Any Althoff Catholic student who is interested in Drama/Theater can join the Performance Arts Club by auditioning for shows, attending meetings, or contacting club representatives. Continued membership involves maintaining passing grades in classwork, responsible student behavior, attendance and participation in required rehearsals, practices, and set construction, as well as the privilege to join International Thespian Troupe #5554. If you have a positive attitude and enjoy entertaining others, the Performance Arts Club may be the group for you!

At least two plays are performed throughout the year. These include a spring musical and small musicals and comedies in the fall.

Spring Play -
Guys & Dolls

All the hot gamblers are in town, and they're all depending on Nathan Detroit to set up this week's incarnation of "The Oldest Established Permanent Floating Crap Game in New York"; the only problem is he needs $1,000 to get the place.  Throw in Sarah Brown, who's short on sinners at the mission she runs; Sky Masterson, who accepts Nathan's $1,000 bet that he can't get Sarah Brown to go with him to Havana; Miss Adelaide, who wants Nathan to marry her; Police Lieutenant Brannigan, who always seems to appear at the wrong time; and the music/lyrics of Frank Loesser, and you've got quite a musical.
